Archers Compete for Italy Event at Brookdale

Tryouts for the World Archery Championships in Italy were held this past weekend in Brookdale Park.

Brookdale Park, long a hotbed for archery in New Jersey, hosted trials this past weekend for spots in the U.S. Team that will go to the World Archery Championships in Torino, Italy this July, according to reports on the websites of ESPN and USA Archery.

The trials attracted 31 archers across the country, the reports said. The event was held at Brookdale Park's archery field.

The park usually hosts the Bloomfield Archers, the state's longest continuing archery club, according to its website.
