Armed Robbery At Montclair Gas Station; Suspects Escape With Cash

Montclair police are searching for three people who allegedly robbed a gas station employee at gunpoint.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Montclair police are searching for three suspects who allegedly robbed a local gas station employee at gunpoint on Tuesday.

According to the Montclair Police Department, officers responded to the Exxon gas station on Bloomfield Avenue after getting a report about an armed robbery.

“The victim reported that he was standing inside of the gas attendant vestibule with the sliding door open. He reported three males walked up to the vestibule and one grabbed him by the neck and pointed a silver handgun at him, demanding money. One of the other males then went into the victim’s pockets and grabbed the cash he had from working that night (approximately $120). All three males then left and ran south on Elm Street out of view.”

Police said the suspects were described as males between the ages of 18 to 21. They were wearing black sweatpants and black hooded sweatshirts. Two were wearing black ski masks, and the other was wearing a red and black ski mask.
