Scrambling Around? There Are Still Camps And Classes With Space In August
Here's a Patch list of camps and classes that still have openings in August.
Often the rush of camps and classes offered in July come to a screeching halt as soon as the calendar turns over to August. And with summer vacation a full week longer than the usual 10-week stretch, parents are searching like never before for activities, sports, camps, and anything else to keep their kids busy from now until mid-September.
But there are still some terrific options available for (almost) every aged child for whom the long hot days of August loom empty. Take a look at the few we found. If you know of others, please let us know and we'll add them to the list! Either comment or email Shelley@patch.com.
Rock, Paper, Scissors, at 15 Bloomfield Avenue offers a series of age-specific workshops ranging in cost from $10 to $15 for ages three (with accompanying adult) through 16. Length of the workshops vary from one and a half hours up to three hours for tweens and teens. Ages 16 and above can join adult classes as well. Not a day camp, but definitely something fun to fill those lazy August days.
