Barbie Fever Hits Montclair Movie Theater: ‘Bring Your Baby’ Screening

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Clairidge movie theater in Montclair is showing this summer’s smash hit, “Barbie” – and parents are invited to “bring their baby” to an upcoming screening.

The Clairidge at 486 Bloomfield Avenue is among the theaters nationwide that are showing “Barbie.” The nonprofit theater will be screening the movie until Aug. 13. Learn more and purchase tickets here.

The theater will be showing “Barbie” at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 9 as part of its popular “Bring Your Own Baby” matinee screenings, where local parents, guardians and their new babies are invited to catch a new movie in a friendly environment.
Lights are dimmed but not turned off, and the volume level is moderated. Guests are free to “move around as needed,” and children under 5 are free.

“Crying babies and nursing mothers welcomed,” the theater says. “No judgment. Just movies.”
The Clairidge will also be featuring “Barbie” as the August Student Cinema Collective film. A screening and discussion will take place on Sunday, Aug. 6 at 11:45 a.m. Learn more or purchase tickets here.
