Baskerville Picks Up Torch In Montclair, New Council Sworn In (VIDEO)
It's a whole new ballgame for Montclair's municipal government. Watch the swearing-in ceremony for the entirely new town council here.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — It’s a whole new ballgame for Montclair’s municipal government. But that doesn’t mean the all-new town council is bereft of familiar faces.
As part of a tradition in Montclair, incoming mayor Renee Baskerville received the symbolic “passing of the gavel” at the council’s reorganization meeting on Monday, officially picking up the torch from former mayor Sean Spiller.
Baskerville – who formerly served as a town council member – was among an entirely new council dais that was elected in May’s nonpartisan municipal election. Other new members that were sworn in at the meeting included Susan Shin Andersen and Carmel Loughman (at-large seats), Erik D'Amato (First Ward), Eileen Birmingham (Second Ward), Rahum Williams (Third Ward), and Aminah Toler (Fourth Ward).
