Benefit Concert for Toni's Kitchen In Montclair: The Band’s Last Waltz
An ensemble of local musicians will recreate The Band's final concert.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — An ensemble of Montclair musicians will recreate The Band’s final concert at an upcoming benefit concert for Toni's Kitchen.
The fundraiser – “The Band's Last Waltz” – will take place on Friday, Nov. 10 at Porta Montclair, 499 Bloomfield Avenue. Doors open at 7 p.m. and the show begins at 8 p.m. Purchase tickets online here.

“On Thanksgiving 1976, Americana rock pioneers The Band gave their final concert with songwriter and lead guitarist Robbie Robertson. In August 2023, Robbie would sadly pass away. This legendary concert will be recreated to help raise funds for Montclair's Toni's Kitchen, a nonprofit organization, to help those in need. This event will feature more than 40 musicians, including Mark Bowers, Tommy Walker, Rostafa, Meg Patrick, Alma Schneider and more.”
All ticket sales and payment entries the day of the concert go directly to Toni's Kitchen, organizers said.
The event will also feature a “Last Waltz” dance contest, with prizes for best dancing, best costumes and more. The rules are as follows:

- Couples must dress in formal suits, ties, and dress
- Entries are limited to 5 couples (cut-off will be announced on the Facebook Event page: https://fb.me/e/3VzCXUpqg )
- There is a $10 fee to enter
- Entries must register by contacting ROSTAFA via email (lastwaltzshow@gmail.com) no later than Wednesday, November 8th at 8PM
- The Waltz song will be "Waltz of the Flowers"
- A panel of judges will determine winners by consistent coordination, originality, and trust in your partner
