‘Best Of Beethoven’ Concert In Montclair Will Feature Early Chamber Works

MONTCLAIR, NJ — The Szabo Chamber Music Society will hold one of its final concerts of the season, “Best of Beethoven,” at an upcoming date in Montclair.

The performance will take place at Union Congregational Church, 176 Cooper Avenue in Montclair at 8 p.m. on Saturday, May 16.

According to a news release from organizers, here’s what to expect:

“The program will include his early chamber works such as The Piano Trio in C Minor and Sonata for Piano and Violin in C Minor, which with its bold, turbulent and dramatic musical voice is heralding Beethoven’s 5th symphony, highlight of the “Storm and Stress” classical era movement. These two highly intense works will be contrasted with the poetic and beautiful Sonata for Piano and Cello in C Major. Renowned soloists will include Yaewon Choi, violin, Eunae Jin, cello and Dr. Sandor Szabo, piano. This exciting concert is not to be missed!”

Tickets are $25, adults, $20 seniors and $5 students. Donations will be accepted and are tax deductible.
