Bomb Threat To Wellmont In Montclair Declared 'All Clear,' Mayor Says
A bomb threat was made involving the Wellmont Theater on Saturday night, Montclair officials reported.

MONTCLAIR, NJ -- A bomb threat involving the Wellmont Theater has been declared "all clear," town officials reported Saturday evening.
Mayor Renee Baskerville and 4th ward councilor Aminah Toler each shared social media alerts about the situation on social media. They wrote:
"The Montclair police received a bomb threat regarding the The Wellmont Theater this evening. In response immediate measures have been taken to secure the safety of all residents. We urge all people to avoid the area of the Wellmont Theater until further notice while our law enforcement and emergency personnel conduct a thorough investigation. The area will remain secured until it is deemed to be safe by the authorities."
Baskerville provided an update later on Saturday night, noting that an "all clear" has been sounded.

On Sunday, the Montclair Police Department announced that the bomb threat was deemed a "hoax."
"There is no threat ... Residents in the area are safe," police reported, noting that the Wellmont Theater and nearby businesses are open to the public.
