Bullet Fragment Found Lodged In Foyer Of Montclair Building: Police

Montclair police found a shattered window – and a bullet fragment inside the building, authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A bullet fragment was found lodged in the foyer of a building on Bloomfield Avenue in Montclair last week, authorities announced Tuesday.

The Montclair Police Department released the following statement about the incident, which was reported on Nov. 22:

“Officers responded to Studio Montclair on a report of ‘glass break’ alarm. Responding officers observed a shattered glass window on the front of the building. Upon further inspection, officers noticed a small bullet fragment located inside of the foyer. It appears the shot came from the area of New Street.”

There were no victims or suspects located, Montclair police said. No additional details were immediately available.
