Bullet Hole Found In Car Door In Montclair: Police

Shots were reportedly fired in Montclair. The next day, police found a bullet hole in a vehicle's door, authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A bullet hole was found in the front door of a car in Montclair on Tuesday morning, which was apparently caused by gunfire from the previous night, authorities said.

The Montclair Police Department released the following details about the incident:

“At approximately 6:46 p.m. on June 10, Montclair police responded to the area of New Street and Mission Street on a report of shots fired. Multiple anonymous callers reported hearing approximately five to six shots. No victims were located, and area hospitals did not report any walk-in victims of gunshot wounds. The following day, officers canvassing located a Chevy Cobalt parked on New Street with a bullet hole in the passenger side front door.”
