Burglar Hits Montclair Home, Steals Jewelry, Coins, Purses: Police
Someone burglarized a Montclair resident's home while the owner was outside of New Jersey, authorities say.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — Someone recently burglarized a Montclair resident’s home while the owner was outside of New Jersey, authorities say.
According to the Montclair Police Department, a Park Street resident reported Monday that he was away from his home for two weeks. When he returned, he found his home burglarized.
The thief appears to have gained entry by forcing their way through a bathroom window in the basement, police said.

Once inside, the suspect or suspects rummaged through all the rooms, including the second-floor bedrooms, police said.
About $15,000 worth of jewelry, purses and gold coins were reported missing, police said.
