In recognition of Black History Month and how it intersects with NJ history, local novelist Kim Coleman Foote will talk about the genesis of her debut novel Coleman Hill (2023). Based on the real-life story of her family, her narrative begins with a Great Migration-era arrival in suburban New Jersey and extends three generations into the 1980s. Among several honors, Coleman Hill was a finalist for the NAACP Image Award and the Carol Shields Prize for Fiction. Free for Members with PROMO code MWCMember, $10 nonmembers. Stay for Refreshments!
