With their upcoming sixth studio album, "What A Time To Be Alive" , The Lone Bellow embarks on a bold new chapter while honoring the deep bonds that have defined their journey. Written collaboratively for the first time with their full touring band — founding members Zach Williams, Brian Elmquist, and Kanene Pipkin joined by drummer Julian Dorio and multi-instrumentalist Tyler Geertsma — the album channels the raw, ecstatic energy of the band's live show into a dynamic collection of songs that pulse with warmth, honesty, and human connection.
Recorded live in Muscle Shoals, AL, after a writing retreat in a converted Kentucky firehouse, the album is both a celebration and a reckoning: of friendship, loss, love, and resilience. From the gritty, Stones-tinged opener "After The Rain" to the soul-stirring closer "What A Time To Be Alive," the record captures the joy and vulnerability that have long defined The Lone Bellow's sound — lush harmonies, heartfelt lyrics, and genre-blurring arrangements steeped in folk, rock, and gospel.
The album's creation was marked by setbacks, including the theft of early recordings, but the outpouring of support from their fanbase reaffirmed what the band has always known: their music is a shared experience. That spirit echoes throughout the album, whether in anthems like "Common Folk" and "I'm Here For You," or in intimate reflections like "You Were Leaving" and "Night Goes Black."

Welcome to our vibrant Community Drum and Chanting Circle, a space where rhythmic pulse meets vocal energy, similar to ones we’ve done in the past. We gather bi-monhtly!
This experience is open to absolutely everyone, regardless of background or belief system—all that’s required is an open heart and a willingness to connect through sound.&nbsp; The term ‘lover’ in this context refers to seekers on the Sufi path who are longing for union with the divine energy.&nbsp; 
You can think of this gathering as an expansion of the sema sufi meditations we used to offer.&nbsp; It is looser in form, more focused on music, and does not necessarily involve whirling, although it is welcome if you are called to it.
There is a rhythm older than thought. A pulse that moves beneath language, beneath belief, beneath the self that thinks it’s separate. The Mystics knew this. The circle becomes a living pulse of devotion. If you have a drum, bring it. Medicine drums, frame drums, and ceremony drums are all welcome. The circle grows stronger when every heartbeat joins the rhythm.

Alzheimer’s New Jersey® will host a free “Caregiver Wellness Morning” on Wednesday, May 13, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at McLoone’s Boathouse in West Orange.
Designed for individuals caring for loved ones with Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia, the event will focus on self-care, relaxation, education, and connection with fellow caregivers. Attendees will have the opportunity to participate in wellness workshops, enjoy giveaways, and share experiences in a supportive environment.
The morning will also include a light breakfast and hot buffet lunch.
“Caregivers often place the needs of others ahead of their own,” said Ken Zaentz, President and CEO of Alzheimer’s New Jersey®. “This morning is an opportunity for caregivers to pause, recharge, and connect with others who understand the unique challenges and rewards of caring for a person with Alzheimer’s disease.

Alzheimer’s New Jersey® will host its annual Walk to Fight Alzheimer’s® on Sunday, May 17, 2026, at South Mountain Reservation in West Orange. The event will begin at the Clipper Pavilion and bring the community together to raise awareness and funds for programs supporting individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia.
Day-of registration will open at 9:00 a.m. followed by a kick-off rally at 10:00 a.m. The walk will officially begin at 10:30 a.m. Participants will enjoy a scenic walk around the Orange Reservoir. There will be music, entertainment, refreshments, and door prizes.
Funds raised from the event will support Alzheimer’s New Jersey® programs, including a statewide Helpline, family support groups, community and caregiver education and the Respite Care and Wellness program. These services provide essential guidance, emotional support, and relief for caregivers navigating the challenges of Alzheimer’s disease and other types of dementia. 
“We invite everyone to walk with us. There will be lots of energy and fun,” said Ken Zaentz, President and CEO of Alzheimer’s New Jersey®. “More than 600,000 people in New Jersey are affected by Alzheimer’s disease. Families rely on Alzheimer’s New Jersey® for personal and confidential assistance, education, and support. As the number of families impacted continues to grow, community support is more important than ever.”
As part of Essex County’s Essex Cares program, Alzheimer’s New Jersey® will offer event attendees a special benefit on the day of the walk only. With proof of participation, attendees will receive $5 admission each to the Turtle Back Zoo, Mini Safari Golf, and Codey Arena.
There is no fee to register for the walk; however, fundraising is strongly encouraged and vital to sustaining the organization’s programs. All registered walkers will receive a promotional item the day of the event, and those who raise $75 or more will receive a complimentary event t-shirt. Dogs are welcome, provided they are leashed.
