Art Opening: Lovlee Tang at Montclair Brewery

Come out to meet this month's artist-in-residence: Lovlee Tang!

Lovlee Tang is a mixed-media artist, creative entrepreneur, and mother of four based in Bloomfield, New Jersey. Drawing inspiration from family history, memory, and the strength of women across generations, her work explores themes of connection, identity, resilience, and legacy. A recurring motif in her art is the presence of four women-symbolizing family, sisterhood, motherhood, and the enduring bonds between generations.

Using recycled papers, vintage imagery, paint, handwritten words, and found materials, Lovlee creates layered collages, and abstract works that honor the stories of the women who came before her.

In addition to her studio practice, Lovlee is the founder of Lovlee Art Studios, where she uses art as a vehicle for building creativity, confidence, and community among children and adults alike. Her work reflects her belief that art has the power to heal, inspire, and preserve the stories that matter most.
