Celebrate France while discovering the best of downtown Montclair and beyond during Montclair French Shopping Day!
Presented in partnership with Montclair Center BID, this community-wide French-inspired shopping experience invites residents and visitors to explore participating businesses through a fun passport scavenger hunt adventure.
Visit L’Alliance New York booth on Church Street to pick up your passport, take pictures at our Emily in Paris-inspired photo booth, discover L’Alliance’s programs, and enjoy activities for all ages!
You can also pick up your passport at any participating business throughout Montclair on the day of the event.
Then set off on a scavenger hunt through downtown Montclair and beyond, collecting stamps while enjoying French-inspired tastings, shopping, music, promotions, activities, and surprises along the way.
Participants who complete their passports will be entered into a raffle to win prizes from participating businesses, as well as a hotel stay in France!

How It Works
- Pick up your passport at participating businesses or at L’Alliance booth on Church Street
- Visit participating businesses throughout downtown Montclair and beyond
- Spot the mystery item hidden at participating businesses (item will be revealed on the day of the event)
- Collect stamps while enjoying French-inspired experiences
- Complete your passport and return it to the L’Alliance booth on Church Street by 5:00 PM
- Receive raffle tickets for a chance to win prizes
- Discover local businesses, community partners, and Bastille Day Weekend activities along the way
Raffle winners will be announced on Tuesday, July 14. Participation is limited to one passport per family.
