Registration is now open for the Unitarian Universalist Congregation at Montclair’s 2026-2027 Religious Education (RE) program for children and youth.  We are a liberal religious community seeking transformation in our hearts, our homes, our community, and our world.

Religious Education (RE) Program Goals: The RE program aims to provide broad and connected Unitarian Universalist lifespan religious education for the community inside and outside our walls to ensure a vibrant, thriving congregation.

The purpose of the Religious Education Program is to guide our children, youth, and adults in the ethical exploration of Unitarian Universalist Values. We help to nurture the curiosity of soul expansion and growth through fun and engaging structured learning and spiritual experiences that emphasize:

  • Nurturing the individual spirit within our loving community.
  • Understanding that we are part of the Unitarian Universalist heritage, past, present, and future.
  • Cultivating curiosity about, appreciation for, and engagement with all faith traditions.
  • Developing a lifelong practice of service.
  • Encouraging mindfulness and a sense of wonder.

PROGRAM INFO:

Unitarian Universalists are a covenantal, like-valued people.  The covenants we make are intentional conversations about the value-based actions we expect from each other, and they hold us accountable and in community by giving everyone a voice. The Living Tradition of Unitarian Universalism is informed by growth and change.  UUCM affirms and promotes the UU Values that call us to do something about what we believe ethically and responsibly.  These UU Values are:

  • Justice
  • Equity
  • Transformation
  • Pluralism
  • Interdependence
  • Generosity

These UU Values are all held together with the common thread of  LOVE.

Our RE Program provides a liberating faith education that instills values that emancipate minds and grow spirits. Our dogma-free approach centers the margins, widens the circle, and enlivens the human impulse to justice and love.
