Montclair Pride Festival Returns on October 11 With Community Support from Local Organizations

As Montclair prepares for its annual Pride Festival, local organizations like The Tutor Shack continue to play a steady role in supporting and strengthening the town’s commitment to inclusivity and community connection. 

Hosted by Out Montclair, the 2026 Montclair Pride Festival will take place on October 11 from 12:00 - 5:00 PM at Lackawanna Station in Montclair. The event draws thousands each year for a day centered on community engagement, entertainment, and shared celebration

Now in its 5th year, The Tutor Shack joins a wide range of community partners contributing to an event that has become a cornerstone celebration in the region.

“The Montclair Pride Festival is such a meaningful event for our community, and we’re honored to be part of it for the fifth year,” said Steph Legnosky of The Tutor Shack. “Supporting Pride is about showing up, celebrating individuality, and creating spaces where every student and family feels seen, valued, and supported.”

The festival will feature live entertainment, a wide variety of food vendors, and a Family Zone filled with engaging activities for all ages. Attendees are invited to stop by The Tutor Shack’s table to meet the team, participate in interactive games, and celebrate diversity in an inclusive, welcoming environment.

The Tutor Shack has supported students in person and virtually for over 30 years and expanded services to include college counseling. The organization provides SAT and ACT Prep, coursework/homework help, AP courses and exam preparation, and study skills development for students of all ages.
