Gala and Silent Auction to Benefit Families of Children with Disabilities
1in6 Support will host its Second Annual Gala on Friday, October 23, 2026, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Montclair Art Museum, 3 South Mountain Ave. in Montclair.
The evening will bring together families, supporters, and community partners while raising funds to advance programs serving families of children with disabilities. Guests will enjoy dinner, drinks, live music, and a silent auction.
The silent auction will feature donated items and experiences from community supporters, with online bidding available for those unable to attend in person. The proceeds help 1in6 Support continue its programs for children with disabilities, parents, caregivers, and families. The Tutor Shack in Montclair donated a gift certificate for three tutoring sessions.
For Alma Schneider, co-founder of 1in6 Support, The Tutor Shack donation has a personal connection.
"My own children benefited from The Tutor Shack, so this donation feels especially meaningful to me," said Alma Schneider. "I'm excited to see The Tutor Shack now supporting 1in6 Support and helping us continue to uplift families in our community. It really is about sharing the love and giving another family an opportunity to experience that same support."
Steph Legnosky, owner of The Tutor Shack, said, "Their work creates connection, advocacy, and support for families who deserve to feel seen and included."
Tickets for the gala are $200 per person and can be purchased through the official 1in6 Support Gala page at 1in6support.org/gala.
