Car Stolen From Cedar Grove Crashes In Montclair After Chase: Police
A police chase involving a stolen car ended with a crash and four arrests in Essex County, authorities said.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A police chase involving a stolen car ended with a crash and arrests in Essex County earlier this week, authorities said Wednesday.
According to the Montclair Police Department, their peers in Cedar Grove contacted them on May 2 to let them know they were in pursuit of a stolen Kia Optima that was headed east on Bradford Avenue in their town.
Montclair officers responded to Bradford Avenue and Edgecliff Road to assist with the chase. When the vehicle crossed the Montclair border, it crashed on Edgecliff Road. Four people bailed out of the car and fled the scene on foot in different directions, authorities said.

After a search, police found and arrested two juveniles from East Orange (14 and 17-years-old), a 19-year-old East Orange resident and an 18-year-old Pemberton resident. They were turned over to the custody of the Cedar Grove Police Department.
