Car Stolen In Montclair Found In Shipping Container At Port Newark: PD
Authorities recovered two cars that were stolen in Montclair, one of which was found in a shipping container at Port Newark.
MONTCLAIR, NJ — Authorities have recovered two cars that were stolen in Montclair, one of which was found in a shipping container at Port Newark, police announced Tuesday.
The Montclair Police Department released the following details about each incident:
Dec. 12 (Bloomfield Avenue) – “The Hudson County Sheriff’s Office advised the Montclair Police Department that a 2021 BMW X7 that was reported stolen from Montclair in June had been recovered at the Port of Newark. The vehicle was located inside of a shipping container.”

Dec. 14 (Orange Road) – “The complainant reported that his 2020 Mercedes Benz was stolen after he parked it on Orange Road. The vehicle was recovered the following day in Montclair, parked and unoccupied.”
