Cash In On Post Holiday Sales

This is one of the great sales weeks of the year.

Locally, stores like at 30 S. Fullerton Ave. are offering 50 percent off select merchandise from Dec. 27 to Dec. 30. In Upper Montclair, the Gap is offering 70 percent off while launched its annual winter sale on Dec. 26.

Nationally, Aerosoles is offering 70 percent off boots; Best Buy is offering $10 to $30 off select Wii, Xbox and PS3 games; and Target is offering a PS3 or Xbox 360 Bundle for $299.99 and you get a free $75 gift card with purchase.

Already, it's been a banner year for retailers. By mid-December, the National Retail Federation had raised its estimate for holiday sales to a 3.8 percent increase over 2010—a percentage point over its previous 2.8 percent estimate, Indeed, sales were strong throughout October and November.

So get out and shop! Also, Dec. 26 is the last day to take advantage of the township's free holiday parking. (Let us know of any shopping deals in the comments section below.)
