Comic Con Coming To Essex County, NJ

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Time to get your superhero gear ready, Essex County.

On Saturday, Aug. 20, local cosplayers and comic-culture buffs can find refuge at the Newark Comic Con, to held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Waterfront Place, 1100 McCarter Highway in Newark. Learn more about the event here.

According to the comic con’s website, the event will include:

• A cosplay contest
• Jim Parrack – Suicide Squad, Annapolis, Fury, True Blood
• Ryan Scott Weber – Pretty Fine Things, Zombies Incorporated, Witches Blood
• James Balsamo – Hack Job, Catch of the Day, Bite School
• Vincent Pastore – The Sopranos
• Christian Frazier – Gotham
• Competitors from the TV series “American Ninja Warriors”
• King Kong Bundy (pro wrestler)
• Schooly D – Aqua Teen Hunger Force
