Cops Investigate Halloween Paintball Pelting In Glen Ridge

Police in Glen Ridge launched an investigation after a man sustained minor injuries in a drive-by paintball pelting on Halloween.

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Police in Glen Ridge police have launched an investigation after a man sustained minor injuries in a drive-by paintball pelting on Halloween, authorities announced Monday.

According to the Glen Ridge Police Department, the “aggravated assault” took place at 11:20 p.m. on Washington Street near Hamilton Road.

The victim told police that an unknown, older-model vehicle that was “dark in color” with a loud muffler pulled over to the side of the road on the 300-block of Washington Street.

The occupants of the car then hit the victim with paintballs and drove away, police said.

The victim sustained minor injuries, authorities said.
