Crash Investigation Closes Lanes On Route 46: Thursday Traffic

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — A crash investigation is impacting traffic ahead of the evening rush hour on a portion of Route 46, authorities reported Thursday afternoon.

According to 511nj.org, as of 3:09 p.m., there was a “crash investigation on US-46 eastbound East of CR 615/Fairfield Av (Fairfield Twp).”

All lanes are closed with a 10-minute delay, 511nj.org reported.

The Township of Fairfield also issued an advisory at 3:24 p.m. It read: “Route 46 East Closed at Fairfield Road for Crash Investigation. Detours in Place. Drive Safe!”
