Debit Cards Stolen From Gym Customer’s Car In Montclair: Police

The victim said his car keys were taken from the men's locker room, Montclair police stated.

MONTCLAIR, NJ — A man stole debit cards from a gym customer’s car in Montclair last week, authorities announced Tuesday.

According to the Montclair Police Department, the theft took place at a gym on South Park Street on Aug. 28. Authorities released the following details about the incident:

“The complainant reported that his car keys were taken from the men’s locker room at Retro Fitness. When he returned to his vehicle, he discovered the car had been entered and the center console was open. Three debit cards were missing. An unauthorized charge was placed on one of his credit cards at Best Buy in Little Falls.”

Police said that surveillance footage shows a male suspect about 6 feet at the scene, wearing a bandana, black shirt, red/pink shorts and white socks with sandals.
