DeCamp Bus Strikes, Kills Montclair Au Pair From Israel: Police

"The bus did not stop," Essex County and Montclair authorities said.

MONTCLAIR, NJ -- Acting Essex County Prosecutor Robert Laurino and Montclair Police Chief Todd Conforti announced that the Essex County Prosecutor's Office and the Montclair police are investigating a fatal motor vehicle incident that resulted in the death of Maya Moar, a 26-year-old au pair from Holon, Israel.

The fatal collision took place at Grove Street and Mt. Hebron Road around 6 p.m. on Saturday, authorities said. Moar was pronounced dead at the scene at 6:48 p.m.

"It appears based on the preliminary investigation that the victim was struck by a DeCamp bus as she exited the bus," the Essex County Prosecutor's Office stated. "The bus did not stop."

Moar was employed with a Montclair family, authorities said.
