MONTCLAIR, NJ — A deer rescue found a dear spot in the hearts of a pair of animal control officers in Montclair last week.
The incident kicked off when township animal control officers got calls about a deer running around with a plastic pumpkin stuck on its head.
Montclair Animal Control Supervisor Michele Shiber and a fellow officer arrived at the scene and captured the deer with a net. The officers were then able to remove the plastic pumpkin prison and release the animal into the “wild.”
