An overnight double-fatal crash involving one car scattered parts and took down trees and a pole, according to prosecutors.
The Essex County Prosecutor's Office confirmed that two people died in the crash.
At approximately 10 p.m. on Monday, two men were killed in the single-car fatal crash in the area of High Street and Bloomfield Avenue in Glen Ridge.

They were pronounced dead at the scene. The preliminary investigation indicates they were traveling in a 2008 Mercedes Benz when the driver hit a light pole which caused the car to hit a tree and burst into flames, according to the ECPO.
The driver of the car, Galo G. Flores, 25, of Harrison was pronounced dead at the scene at 10:17 p.m. The passenger, Carlos Nieves, 20, of Newark was also pronounced dead at the scene at 10:17 p.m.
