MONTCLAIR, NJ — It took 49 days of flood remediation. But after some hard work, Egan & Sons in Montclair is ready to reopen, the gastropub says.
According to a social media post, Egan & Sons will reopen its doors at 4 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 20.
“We could show you the decor, but the new beer lines are in and the gas is on,” its owners joked.

The local restaurant’s announcement was reshared by the Human Needs Food Pantry of Montclair, which welcomed their neighbor back to business.

Egan & Sons was one of several Montclair businesses that suffered as a result of mass flooding throughout the state during the storm. FEMA has since declared Essex County – among others in New Jersey – to be eligible for emergency relief aid.
