Electrical Issue Causes False Activation At Montclair Railroad Crossings
The issue was due to a loss of catenary power between Montclair State University and Bay Street, NJ Transit stated.

An electrical issue caused a false activation at several NJ Transit train crossings in Montclair on Tuesday, causing traffic delays for local motorists and up to 60-minute delays for riders.
A loss of “catenary power” between Montclair State University and Bay Street was to blame, NJ Transit stated.
