Essex County GOP: Christie Was ‘Beacon Of Hope’ To Gun Owners
Essex County Republicans will honor ex-governor Chris Christie, of Newark and Livingston, with a "2nd Amendment Award."

ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — When asked to remember former Gov. Chris Christie and his impact on Garden State gun owners, Alexander Roubian of the New Jersey 2nd Amendment Society (NJ2AS) doesn’t mince words.
“Governor Christie was a beacon of hope and a saving grace for those who were unfairly and discriminatorily terrorized by New Jersey's draconian gun laws,” the NJ2AS president says. “[We have] witnessed firsthand how he personally saved many from unfair prosecution and years in prison.”
“Governor Christie's pragmatism and fairness is greatly missed,” Roubian added.
