Essex County Hilltop Grasshopper Youth Bike Race Returns For 2016
Youth cyclists in Essex County will a chance to prove they're the fastest grasshoppers in the area on Aug. 13.
Essex County, NJ – Youth cyclists in Essex County will a chance to prove they’re the fastest grasshoppers in the area when the 7th Annual Hilltop Grasshopper Bicycle Race for Kids” returns to North Caldwell for 2016.
According to an event flyer, the race will take place on Saturday, August 13, at Essex County’s Hilltop Reservation, near the parking lot at Mountain Avenue and Courter Lane in North Caldwell.

Registration and bike inspections begin at 7:30 a.m.; see a full list and race schedule here.
Participants must pay a $10 registration fee and sign a waiver, and the participant’s bicycle must pass a technical inspection. A parent or guardian must be present to sign waiver and must be present during the race.

Awards ceremonies will commence shortly after each class finishes with medals for top three finishers in each class.
