Essex County Vicinage To Hold Virtual Court Election Day Hearings
Election officials, petitioners and attorneys will be able to appear before a designated judge by video or telephone.
ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — Superior Court judges will be available in Essex County to conduct remote hearings for election challenges or issues on Tuesday, July 7.
According to New Jersey court administrators, the 2020 primary election was moved from June 2 because of the coronavirus pandemic. Tuesday’s election will be mainly vote-by-mail.
The county clerk’s office has mailed ballots to registered voters. However, provisional voting will be available at a limited number of polling locations, which will be open for ADA accommodations and for voters who did not receive their official mail-in ballot.
