73 See Gallery seeks to explore the complexity of mankind’s cosmogonies and how they have manifested and continue to manifest themselves in the artistic works of man. The Gallery is interested in the role these play in generating the mythologies and symbols of man. It will not only showcase contemporary artists that express this primal imagery it will also take a retroactive look at old masters, modern and indigenous works that explore these archetypes. Every exhibition will be a fascinating adventure of rediscovery and meaning.
The inaugural exhibition will feature a retrospective of the work of New Jersey native, artist Mary Z. Ms. Z (b.1955), M.F.A., has studied domestically and abroad, (South East Asia, the West Indies, and Europe). Her work, which constitutes a majority of the gallery’s permanent collection, encompasses a large body of work on canvas, wood, paper, bronze, ceramics, and printmaking, some of which will be on exhibit in this opening show.
