ADINKRA HOUSE Presents THE JOHN EHLIS TRIO

Musician JOHN EHLIS brings his trio to our house concert venue Saturday November 17th. Doors open at 7:00 p.m., showtime is promptly at 8:00 p.m.

Guitarist John Ehlis is inspired by traditional music from around the world including Brazil, Cuba, India, Mali, South Africa and the Basque region of Spain and France.  He rechannels the influences of these musically vast cultures into a unique sound that incorporates chanting, lyrical melodies, ambient sounds and collective improvisations. 

Combining Jazz sensibilities with those World Music traditions, multi-instrumentalist John Ehlis assembles a group of spirited and captivating musicians. With compelling and inventive original compositions and dynamic interplay the John Ehlis Trio takes off on a musical journey which is never the same twice. Featuring the unique voice of each player, his trio leaves a remarkable impression.
