Create a Retablo: October 7
Retablos are Latin American devotional objects that physically represent sacred images. They are created as a way to interact on a personal level with the divine. They are also used as a visual story telling vehicle. In this workshop you will use the for of the retablo to depict a personal story, a visualization of something you wish to manifest in your life or to commemorate an event. Each participant will be given a wooden box with doors and use paint, decoupage, and three dimensional elements to embellish their retablo.
