Bike Drive

Have an extra bike taking up precious space in your garage? Donate it at the Bike Exchange to be held on Sunday, October 14 from 10 till 3 in the parking lot of Temple Ner Tamid, 936 Broad Street, Bloomfield. Organized by Adam Levy and Myles Platnico for their Bar Mitzvah community service project, collected bikes will be donated to the Boys and Girls Clubs of Newark Bike Exchange. They will be refurbished and sold at the Exchange at affordable prices. This is a significant need in Newark which doesn't have a single bike shop. 100% of sale proceeds will support the programs of the Boys & Girls Clubs. All donations are fully tax deductible. Help a family discover the pleasures of bike riding and exercise; help the environment by recycling and reducing automobile traffic. Empty your garage. It's a win-win.
