Start the day our special for dad with a celebration of Mozart.
The Sanctuary Choir under the direction of Eric Olsen will present Mozart Requiem in D minor, Parts I through VII during the 10:00 AM service. Mozart’s last composition is the culmination of his beautiful artistry. Performed at the memorial services for Haydn and Beethoven, the Requiem is complex, fusing elements of classic and baroque style. Mozart was able to fully complete the first seven sections of this transcendent work before his untimely death. This is a tribute to his incomparable musical spirit, which lives on in his immortal Requiem. Following the music and worship service is a congregational picnic to celebrate a year of learning and service. All are invited. Childcare is available.
