The Montclair Public Library’s popular art exhibition series continues with "The Brookdale Artists." This display comprises both paint and collage works and will be on view in the Montclair Public Library Gallery during library hours throughout the month of August. An Artist’s Reception will be held on August 10th from 6-9 p.m. inside the Library.
For more than fifteen years, "The Brookdale Artists" have been meeting weekly at the Brookdale Reformed Church in Bloomfield. Supporting one another, each artist pursues
his or her own individual style and interests—from abstract art to representational realism. The group setting offers a lively interplay of information about classic
techniques and new, fresh artistic approaches. The artists are led by Richard Toglia, a painter and illustrator that has taught at the Adult Schools of both Montclair and West Caldwell as well as The Newark School of Fine and Industrial Arts.
The Montclair Public Library Gallery is an exhibition space that rotates works each month.
