The Michael Reitman Band at Hat City Kitchen

Michael Reitman, an accomplished blues guitarist, hosts an Acoustic Open Mic at the Hat City Kitchen in Orange on alternate Tuesdays where he also performs. In addition, he serves as a member of the advisory board of Toni's Kitchen at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Montclair.  Jason DeSalvo (bass) is a long-time Montclair resident who began playing bass guitar at the age of 12.  Mr. DeSalvo is involved with numerous charities including one of Montclair’s own — Jazz House Kids — as a member of its Board of Directors.  Larry "The Lip" Lipschultz has been playing harmonica for 9 years.  In addition to the Michael Reitman Blues Band, Larry plays with Montclair based Black Lace Blues and the blues rock band the JRK Project. He has played in bars, clubs and outdoor events throughout North Jersey.  Michael Devito (guitar) is a longtime Montclair resident, with deep appreciation for blues, jazz and roots music. He plays electric and acoustic guitar, baritone guitar and lap steel. Michael is a founding member of the Blue Shadows, a New Brunswick-based blues band, and played for many years with the Blue Shadow Dogs in NYC. He appeared several times as a musical guest in the Montclair area with his friend and mentor Rich Cohen.
