What came first- the book or the bookmark? We say the bookmark!
Come talk to the artist in person. The Artist Kayla-Iman of Moonstone-Designs will be at the Montclair Community Pre-K. She will be presenting and selling her Big Bookmarks which feature the first character in her cartoon series The Real Solar System. The Sun is the first character and her motto is Rise and Shine. Kayla will have drafts of the character and a sneak peek at the next character available for viewing. 20% of the sales at the pre-k go directly the pre-k for art supplies and educational needs for the classrooms. Each Big Bookmark is $2.

Emerging Montclair artist Kayla-Iman Clermont Hughes known as The Artist Kayla-Iman of Moonstone-Designs is a 6th grader at Mt Hebron Middle School and a graduate of the Montclair Community Pre-K. This series was created while she was a student in 4th grade at Northeast Elementary School. The Sun is the first character being presented and she shines bright. This series is comedic and real - written with children K-3 in mind but great for teens and adults too!
