On Wednesdays at 2 p.m., Montclair Public Library hosts The Every Wednesday Matinee, a classic film series presented in its auditorium. Below are the films being screened this March:
The Quiet Man (March 2) - Starring John Wayne, Maureen O’Hara and Barry Fitzgerald. A retired American boxer returns to the village of his birth in Ireland, where he finds love. (1952, 129 minutes, Color)
Shake Hands with the Devil (March 9) - Starring James Cagney, Don Murray and Dana Wynter. In the 1920’s Ireland, IRA members are being lead by the war mongering Dr. Sean Lenihan, as they fight oppressive British forces. (1959, 111 minutes, B&W)

Darby O’Gill & the Little People (March 16) - Starring Albert Sharpe, Janet Munro and Sean Connery. A wily old codger matches wits with the king of the leprechauns and helps play matchmaker for his daughter and a strapping lad. (1959, 93 minutes, Color)
Going My Way (March 23) - Starring Bing Crosby, Barry Fitzgerald and Frank McHugh. After joining a parish, Father Chuck O’Malley’s worldly knowledge helps him connect with a gang of kids looking for direction.(1944, 126 minutes, B&W)
