MONTCLAIR, NJ — A former Montclair State University student has been accused of stealing almost $44,000 from a campus fraternity, a report says.

Joseph Specchio, 32, of Manalapan, was arrested in July and charged with theft and fraudulent use of credit cards and checks, NorthJersey.com reported. (Read the full article)

Specchio served as the advisor for Sigma Pi's Iota Iota chapter at Montclair State from February 2016 to December 2018, when he allegedly stole about $43,800, mainly by linking the fraternity’s bank account with his own checking account. The funds were spent on food, gas and other goods, NorthJersey.com reported.
