Fall IN Fullerton

This week's Talking Shop highlights the upcoming Fall IN Fullerton shopping event

Just below Bloomfield Avenue on South Fullerton lies a powerhouse of local shopping. Dining, clothing, home goods, accessories, and more are tucked into a roughly two-block radius.

To celebrate this little-but-big shopping strip, the storeowners have joined forces as the “Fine Establishments of South Fullerton” and created the first ever Fall IN Fullerton shopping and dining event.

Barbara Lemley, owner of the chicly fun ColorStoryHome at 30 S. Fullerton, helped bring the Fall IN Fullerton event to fruition, with help from her fellow storeowners. “There is such an assortment of shops on South Fullerton, such a menu of items for people to choose from, we decided to put our heads together and do something," she says.

That “something” will take place on Friday, Sept. 23, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Fall IN Fullerton shoppers will have an opportunity to float in and out of the stores while enjoying gratis snacks, discounts, and promotions.

The event will also include live music courtesy of the guitar/vocal-harmony duo Carrie Cantor and Malcolm Marsden from Parents Who Rock.

Lemley hopes to continue showcasing South Fullerton shops, with more events like Fall IN Fullerton. “We are in the preliminary stages of planning something for pre-Thanksgiving and the pre-Christmas, Chanukah holiday season," she says.
