Here’s what to know if you plan to go, according to the library:

“Special author events will be held on two Saturdays – June 15 and 29 – starting with an author tour of the exhibit at noon, followed by presentations in the auditorium from 1 to 5 p.m. These will include a story-time for children of all ages, a session for people to share stories of hope, author Q&A, and a reading of ‘Hope for the Flowers’ in several languages.”

First published in 1972, “Hope for the Flowers” has sold more than four million copies in English and has been translated into 15 languages across the globe. For over 50 years, Paulus’s art and book have invited viewers to contemplate the struggle, sacrifice and strength it takes to “become one’s true self” – all viewed through the two main characters: a pair of caterpillars. Fans of the book include Coretta Scott King, Drew Barrymore and Deepak Chopra.
