Fatal Crash: Montclair Man Killed While Walking In Bloomfield
The Montclair resident had left a local deli when a Toyota Corolla struck and killed him on Monday morning, authorities say.
A Bloomfield motorist struck and killed a Montclair man while he was walking near Watchung Avenue on Monday morning, authorities stated.
According to the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office, a 39-year-old Bloomfield man driving a Toyota Corolla struck and killed Gary Moore, 69, of Montclair, at 6:14 a.m. after he left Hot Bagels Abroad & Deli at 1129 Board Street near Watchung Avenue.
Authorities are in the early stages of an investigation, the ECPO stated.

As of Monday, no charges had been filed against the driver, whose name has not been released.
