Film Screening with Director Jennie Livingston

Join us for a special screening and discussion on the groundbreaking film, Paris Is Burning, with Director Jennie Livingston.

Tuesday, March 1, 2016 at 7:00 PM in University Hall Rm 1070, on the campus of Montclair State University.

This documentary shed light on a subculture, a community of African American, Latino, gay and transgender New Yorkers, while exploring the ball scene in the late 80s. Livingston’s film is recognized as an influential work by LGBTQ and Gender Studies scholars.
