First Authors Announced For 10th Montclair Literary Festival
Lineup taking shape for the 10th anniversary of the Montclair Literary Festival, talking place from May 2 through May 11, 2026.
The Montclair Literary Festival has begun to unveil the exceptional lineup of writers, thinkers, and cultural voices appearing in its 10th Anniversary from May 2 to 11 in Montclair.
Confirmed authors to date include Colm Tóibín, Tom Perrotta, Xochitl Gonzalez, Kathryn Stockett, John Fugelsang, Joyce Carol Oates, Amy Jo Burns, Eugene Robinson, Christina Baker Kline, and Maria Semple. Additional authors are being announced daily on the festival’s social media channels.
“The Montclair Literary Festival’s unique contribution to readers is that we present a multi-day, multi-event literary celebration,” said Festival Chair Marcia Marley. “Festivalgoers have the opportunity to overload on books and ideas, discover new voices across genres, and engage directly with authors. Our goal is to create space for the exchange of ideas, powerful storytelling, and meaningful community connection.”

Returning by popular demand, Pitchapalooza will once again offer aspiring writers the opportunity to present their work, with one or more participants selected for introduction to a literary agent. Poetry readings will spotlight outstanding talent, and festival conversations will span a broad range of timely and thought-provoking topics, including artificial intelligence, extraordinary women in history, memoir, economics, politics, and music.
The festival will run from Saturday May 2 through Monday May 11, and will feature two Festival Days held on consecutive Saturdays:
