ESSEX COUNTY, NJ — The former president of the Essex County Sheriff’s Officers PBA Local 183 is facing theft by deception charges after he allegedly used his union-issued credit card to pay for $14,535 in repairs to his personal vehicle, prosecutors say.
On Friday, the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office served and processed Christopher Tyminski, 45, of Byram, and assigned him a Feb. 16 arraignment date.
None of the theft by deception allegations involve Tyminski’s official capacity within the Essex County Sheriff’s Department, prosecutors said.
