Free Skin Cancer Screenings In Montclair: May 19

A Montclair dermatologist will offer free skin cancer screenings in honor of Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month.

Montclair, NJ – In honor of Melanoma/Skin Cancer Detection and Prevention Month in May, a Montclair dermatologist will offer free skin cancer screenings on Thursday, May 19.

According to a news release, Jeanine Downie will conduct the free screenings from 7 to 9 p.m.at the Red Cross office at 63 Park Street in Montclair.

The skin cancer screening will consist of a close visual inspection of the body skin. Screenings typically start at the face and hairline, moving to the rest of the body down to the bottoms of the feet.

The process takes only a few minutes and is painless, event organizers say.

Appointments are required and may be made by calling 973-746-1800. Screening gowns are donated by Keil’s of Montclair.
